Increase in thefts of older variants of the Land Rover Defenders.

We are currently experiencing a sharp rise in the theft/attempted theft of the older style Land Rover Defenders across Shropshire, this is replicated in adjacent counties. If you own such a vehicle please remain vigilant and consider removing it from view or blocking it in when not in use.   We would also encourage you to fit tracking devices to your vehicles, these can be obtained at relatively low cost. Please report any suspicious behaviour to police and share on your Rural Watch or community groups.
